Weekly News 5/23 - 5/31
Tuesday 5/23 More work on finishing up the home improvement projects. Repainted the kitchen (new coat) I had a WPODC meeting tonight. Made some Chicken Satays and Saffron Rice..yum! Went to Lowes. (again) Finally finished the photo albums.
Wed 5/24 Our two month anniversary!! YAY. Went to La Hacienda for a delish dinner. (We just didn’t feel all that adventurous today...must be recovering from the weekend of painting still) Lowes again, seriously. Shipped the photo albums.
Thurs 5/25 Just worked today, didn’t do a whole lot else. Read the new O Magazine. Worked on AmeriStall stuff. Several appointments this week. Grilled outside and had some margamaritas! Preparing for the weekend. Trip 3 to Lowes. Damn I am tired of this store!
Fri 5/26 Oh my goodness. I shopped and then really dropped! I started my crazy day by running errands, getting the car detailed, returning things to Lowe’s and then went shopping at Garden Ridge for their patio/garden sale and then Tonya and I went to IKEA.
This day was Trip 4 to Lowes, Trip 1 and Trip 2 to Garden Ridge, followed by Trip 1 to IKEA.
Sat 5/27 Shoot me now- Lowes again. Garden Ridge again. IKEA AGAIN!!! AAH! (M is fed up with this. You would think a pond, a patio set, a gazebo, a fountain, a park bench, and a hammock would all fit in a Trail Blazer, but it doesn’t) Not to mention the tiki torches, a few lamps, an art piece…ok, maybe it wouldn’t all fit….. Three trips worth to be exact. Once we got our errands done, we worked on hanging shelves and pictures, assembling lamps, installing dimmers, and replacing the office light fixture. (for 3 hours)
Sun 5/28 I can not get out of bed. Waah. More shelves. More of the damn light fixture (it hummed, we have to fix it). Yuck. LOWES AGAIN. (kill me) Hung the curtains, assembled the chair…went to the store, Wal-Mart, Target and Sam's Club...no more shopping..ever. Finally a bottle of wine and a good dinner.
Mon 5/29 Met my parents for breakfast. Went to frickin Lowes. I have abandoned all hope of ever finishing this project. LOL. Moved all the furniture from one room to the other. Made some filing choices, working on boxes, picked up clutter, trash, and tools, vacuumed up all the sheetrock dust from the ½ inch holes in our wall now…Ok, seeing the light, maybe it will get done….Time for a bubble bath! (and more wine)
Tues 5/30 What is it about wine that fixes everything? We had some more tonight along with a fabulous rigatoni and chicken parmesan. The office is workable and plans are coming together a LOT more now. The dark wood looks SO good in there with the chocolate walls. Love it all. Now to just get my storage solutions figured out.
Wed 5/31 What a week! So much done! Planning for this weekend’s parties. Have an Arbonne meeting tomorrow night. Matt’s softball game is tomorrow too. I am making a list of all the things we have left to do and we’re going to start working on the “nursery”, making it a reading room for now. Paint will be coming soon to the bedroom, master bath, a stencil on the guest bath, and if I can talk M into it…paint for the LIVING ROOM! I am thinking a golden wheat color. I am redoing the mantle display now.
