The Goose, The Bucks, The Biz, The Babes
Hello all! Today was a pretty good day. I met Clarissa with AOED for lunch and we did networking and marketing work until 4:30!! We were supposed to meet at Monica's in Addison, but they have closed that location!!! As Monica's is one of my fav places, this was not the best of news, but the Deep Ellum location has always been the best one. So, we went to Blue Goose. It was ok food, but the atmosphere was not the best...kinda trashy.
So after we ate, we went over to Starbucks for the rest of the afternoon. We are planning a few huge events that ought to be fantastic. She has also put me in touch with Good Morning Texas and a reporter on Good Day, so that should be a wonderful contact. After our D Magazine article, we've been getting a ton of attention from the media...just how we like it!
Julie has finished up the last bit of our name transition, and our attorneys have given us the go-ahead on everything else. VLo is also in full swing...the website should be coming soon. Also, I have started Arbonne and I am loving it. A few of our friends are doing it and they got into their white Mercedes in 6 months! Ready for that...
Anyway, that's what I know for now. The past couple days have just been really busy planning the weekend's parties and M and I have decided to re-do the office. We'll be painting and hanging a new light fixture this weekend and then Tonya will be helping us organize the daily activities next week. The front room (future nursery) will become a reading room for now and the dining room will be left alone for a bit. The kitchen will be getting it's glaze on shortly, followed possibly by the bedroom. I am still trying to convince M that the living room needs some paint...I'll keep you updated on that discussion...LOL.
On the baby front, Kiera is doing wonderfully still, Madeline is as precious as ever (and has started teething!!) Travis is growing and is SO CUTE, and from what I've heard, Katy is doing perfectly..what a cutie she is. I love having all these babies around...we'll be adding to the group next year. For now, though, we couldn't be happier being newlyweds. (Hang in there Mom and you'll have granddogs AND grandkids!)
